A Trip to South MountainsO(∩_∩)O~

This is a photo of my best friend, Z. (June/2008, during last summer vacation)

It had been in the late June since I went back home from school. The whole city was right in the mood of a bright summer. My friend, Z, and I left for a trip to South Mountains which was a great summer resort in my hometown, Jinan, Shandong Province.

This range of mountains was about fifteen kilometers away from the urban distinct; so that the temperature around mountains was lower than that in the central city. Especially when Z and I were up on the mountainside, we had to add a piece of jacket on.

The mountain was generally covered by a plenty of trees. Most of them were cypress and pines that it was presenting a scene of temperate forest zone. However, as we climbed toward the hilltop, less and less species appeared compared with those at the foot of the mountain. It can be recognized from the photo above, that half of the soil has exposed and shrubs, bushes were present.

What was more was that, besides the natural beauty there were a couple of recreational facilities set up and some cultural performance hold based on scheduling. This indeed attracted much more people as well as propelled the tourism undoubtedly. In the photo, Z was just playing with the bows and arrows. Actually it was her first time to even touch and try that!
