My Fun Fine Trip to Europe(1)

It is a memery of my favourite trip to Europe during the summer vacation in 2005 when I was in Grade 8.

The photo above shown was at the time I was in Innsbruck, Austria. It was right in the middle summer but the weather there was soft and comfortable instead of being hot or arid. As you can see that the city was sourunded by a range of mountainds. Also, Danube River flowed through this city although it was a bit hard to be recognized in my pohoto. Danube River is the 2nd longest European river (after the Volga). There are abounding number of streams and distributuries from its main flow that runs through many cities around. To be more specific, it flows from southwestern Germany to the Black Sea. Based on the knowledge I have learned in class, this river can be classified at a mature age due to its well drained meanders which has started to form.

Innsbruck is a city of southwest Austria west-southwest of Salzburg, and it seems to be located right in the valley. Most of the residences are sitting at the foot of the mountains. As I heard from my tour guide, residents of the city depended on the river a lot. The lower reaches of Danube River were the siginificant transportatation paths on water. Whereas, upper reaches of the river were the major origin of the hydroelectric power used to support the city. I really appreciated it since it was great for the environmental protection because less wastes or pollution would be produced and released.
