My Lovely Hometown

This piece is a introduction of my hometown, Jinan, combined photos with my expressions to them.

The time was just in the middle of last summer vacation. To be honest, the summer time in Jinan is a little hard to bear if you are used to live in a city with cool weather. Jinan is an inland city that it rarely receives sea breeze from the ocean like Dalian. As a result, a distinct climate system has been left behind that the four seasons have quite different features of weather and precipitation. During that summer, it was hot and dry, however, there were a few rainfalls occurred which helped to calm the atmosphere and brought moisture in the air.

Jinan is located in the mid-latitude region so the here the air that flows toward each other is forced to rise, creating a low pressure. The precipitation is mostly happening between April and August. Besides, the city is famous for its springs which is a total of 72 springs. They play an important role in the administration of climate and the human supplies.

As you can see in one of my photos, there is an apparent sign of blue colours. It represents the three eyes of Baotu Spring since it is a unique symble of my city. I really appreciate and like it because it builds up a part of the city’s identity. Every time I went there with my friends from other cities, I felt proud to introduce it to them with a story of the attractions and history.

Moreover, the Daming Lake is also a popular place both in the tourist and the film making choices. It maintains the traditional architechture and natural beauty as well.
